About SmartStudent NG

I started SmartStudent NG because of one bad semester. I was the student who carried three textbooks everywhere, slept in the reading room, and still came out with results that made me hide my phone from my parents. I was reading hard. I just wasn't reading well.

The turning point was a friend in my department who read half of what I read and scored double. She didn't have a photographic memory. She had a system: short focused sessions, questions instead of highlighters, past papers early instead of the night before, and a simple weekly plan that survived NEPA and area noise. I copied her system, adjusted it to my own schedule, and my grades finally started to reflect my effort.

Since then I've spent years testing study methods on myself and with the students I coach — secondary school leavers preparing for JAMB CBT, undergraduates fighting carry-overs, and working students squeezing revision into a two-hour window after closing. Some methods look great on YouTube and fail here. Others are boring, cheap, and change everything.

This blog is where I keep the ones that work. I write the way a senior explains things to you outside the lecture hall — plain words, real examples in ₦, real problems like data costs and generator noise, and no pretending that discipline is easy. Everything here is evergreen: no trends, no hype, just skills you can still use next session.

If one post saves you a night of useless reading, then this whole site has paid for itself.
